What we hold about you, where it came from, what we do with it, and how to make us stop.

Who we are

Branded Bits is a trading name of Brandedbits Ltd (company number 17512734), registered office Flat 63, Shearsmith House, Hindmarsh Close, London E1 8HU. We decide how your data is used, which makes us the “controller” under UK data protection law. For anything on this page, email sales@brandedbits.com.

If you contact us

When you use the form on this site or email us, we keep what you send: usually your name, company, email, website and message. If you followed a link on one of our product sheets, we also record which sheet and product it was.

We use it to reply and, if you go ahead, to make and deliver your order. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (answering a request you made) and, once you order, the contract between us.

If we contact you first

We sometimes email or message people at businesses we think could use what we make, often with a product sheet showing their own logo on our products. To do that we hold:

• your name, job title and work contact details (email, phone, business address);
• your company’s name, website, logo and brand colours.

We get these from public sources: the Companies House register, your company’s own website, LinkedIn and business directories. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: telling businesses about products relevant to them. We only email work addresses at limited companies and other organisations, not sole traders, unless they’ve asked to hear from us.

To stop hearing from us, reply “stop” to any message or email sales@brandedbits.com. We’ll stop straight away, delete your details, and keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list so you aren’t contacted again.

Who else handles it

These services handle data for us, under contract, and only to run the business:

• Railway hosts this site and stores enquiries sent through the form.
• FormSubmit passes form enquiries on to our inbox.
• Microsoft runs our email.

Some of them process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, UK law requires safeguards such as the UK–US data bridge or approved contract terms. We don’t sell your details to anyone, and we don’t add you to a mailing list.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that don’t become orders: 12 months.
• People we contacted who didn’t reply: deleted within 12 months of our last message.
• Orders and invoices: six years, as UK tax law requires.
• The do-not-contact list: for as long as we do any marketing, so we can honour it.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or tracking. Our host keeps standard server logs (time, page, browser, IP address) for a short time to keep the site running and secure.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict how we use it, or object to us using it at all. Email sales@brandedbits.com and we’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
